I completed my bachelors in journalism, emphasizing in strategic communications. My degree, which I received in May 2019, trained me in a wide range of media specialties, including writing, design, communication, social media, and media law and ethics.

I specialized in social media planning and content design through my internship with the Washoe CASA Foundation. I led client and team communications as account executive when working with real clients in advanced strategic communications courses. I finished my education by working as a creative planner and designer for the National Student Advertising Competition, creating, with an incredible team, a cohesive and all-encompassing strategic plan to promote the world renown hot dog.

My double minor in digital media and business administration attests to my wide range of interests in creative processes and the technical and social aspects that drive all work. Both have led me to spend extensive time in the Adobe Suite, working in graphic design, photography and video.

As a creative, I play many roles in my free time: experimental artist, writer, photographer, personal novel critic, guitarist, professional unregistered advice-giver, and even an avid playlist creator. On top of my professional education and experience, my creative process is formed through my passions and my interactions with the creative mind that every person harbors. With this, I mold the foundation of my work through simplicity, passion, emotion, research, and honesty.

I believe in the power of learning what it means to be human. In all its horrors and beauties, there are shared experiences, emotions, passions, joys and pains between all of us. These similarities are where I am learning to speak a universal language, where I am learning to understand even the most polarizing and complex, and where I am learning to translate between anyone.
